Bilingual Data Coder - P/T Temp

The Temple Infant & Child Lab is looking for a Spanish-English bilingual data coder for the Attention and Language project, a collaborative research study aiming to examine the relation between children's early attention skills and the quality of parent-child interactions. The data coder will be responsible for transcribing and behavioral coding videos of parent-child interactions. We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented individual who is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English, and able to commit to up to 12 hours per week from mid-January to mid-May. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and at least 0 - 6 months of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Qualifications
Native Spanish speaker
Proficient in oral and written Spanish
Proficient in oral and written English
Experience speaking with young children in Spanish
Computer skills (word processing, data entry)
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in research and/or assessment
Coursework in a related field
Experience transcribing audio or video
Experience using DataVyu coding software
This is a grant funded position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
